Medical Center Youth Union Successfully Organized the Congress for the 2024 - 2027 Term

Pursuant to the Charter of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Instruction No. 04-HD/ĐTN-VSP of the Standing Committee of Vietsovpetro Youth Union on organizing the Congress of the grassroots Youth Union under the Vietnam - Russia Joint Venture Youth Union Vietsovpetro, term 2024 - 2027; with the consent of the Party Committee of the Medical Center (TTYT) to evaluate and summarize the Youth Union work for the term 2022 - 2024, on November 28, 2024, the grassroots Youth Union of the TTYT successfully organized the Congress of the Youth Union for the term 2024 - 2027.

Attending and directing the Congress, on behalf of Vietsovpetro Delegation, there was comrade Vo Van Chau, Secretary of Vietsovpetro Delegation. On behalf of the Medical Center, there was comrade Nguyen Van Hiep, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Medical Center; comrade Pham Thi Thuy Duong, President of the Trade Union, comrades who are Secretaries of Party Cells under the Party Committee of the Medical Center and nearly 30 union members currently working at the Youth Union of the Medical Center.

At the Congress, comrade Le Van Dao, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Medical Center for the 2022 - 2024 term, briefly reported on the results of the 2022 - 2024 term. Accordingly, the youth of the Medical Center during the term achieved many encouraging results, specifically:

The Youth Union has determined that propaganda and education work continues to be a basic function, a central task throughout and the goal of the Youth Union's activities. Specifically, the 2022 - 2024 term has achieved results: educational activities on the Party's guidelines and policies, on the goals and ideals of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, on revolutionary ideals for union members and young people have been focused on and organized by the Youth Union throughout the term. Activities to educate youth on traditions, ethics and lifestyles have been widely organized for union members and young people through the coordination of organizing and participating in programs about the source: visiting historical sites; Dinh Mountain, Cu Chi Tunnels. Contests to learn about the history and glorious traditions of the Party and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

Every year, the Youth Union has worked with social organizations inside and outside the Health Center to organize meaningful programs and activities, such as: Coordinating with the VSP Youth Union to organize blood donation activities for Youth Union members of the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Youth Union cluster, resulting in the mobilization of more than 300 units of blood each year. In addition, coordinating with the VSP Youth Union, the Health Center Trade Union organizes charity medical examination and treatment for the disadvantaged in Ward 5, Long Son Commune.

Along with improving the health and qualifications of union members, the Youth Union actively encourages young union members to proactively participate in training courses to improve foreign language proficiency such as English, Russian, professional and specialized certificates such as participating in courses to improve communication skills for employees, participating in Nursing Management courses, CME certificates on Kidney, musculoskeletal system... Announcement on implementing participation in scientific and technological activities, specialized seminars related to professional issues organized by the superior Youth Union and Youth Union bases; participating in training on professional work of the Youth Union in 2022-2024 in Ben Tre, Da Lat, Binh Thuan, for Youth Union officials.

In the voluntary work of protecting the environment, responding to climate change and epidemics, the Youth Union joined with the Vietsovpetro Joint Venture Union and the Vung Tau City Youth Union to organize the program "Let's clean the sea", the program "Clean up the Pig Hill"; organize garbage collection at Nui Nho - Vung Tau City on the occasion of responding to World Environment Day; organize cleaning in the Medical Center campus. The grassroots Youth Union conducted propaganda and launched the Youth Union to respond to many meaningful and practical activities launched by the Trade Union and the Union at higher levels.

During the 2022 - 2024 term, the Youth Union coordinated with the Trade Union and the Women's Union of the Medical Center to organize movie viewing and give 80 gifts to children at the Vung Tau Children's Protection Center, with a total value of nearly 80,000,000 VND, organized Christmas gifts for pediatric patients at the Medical Center, and supported people in the northern flood-affected areas with some essential medicines such as: pain relievers, fever reducers, antibiotics, cough suppressants, electrolyte replacement, vitamins...

Regarding Party development work, during the term, the Youth Union introduced 6 outstanding members to the Party, of which 5 members were admitted to the Party.

Speaking at the Congress, Nguyen Van Hiep affirmed the vanguard role of youth, especially in union activities. In addition, he also gave profound instructions such as: "Union members need to proactively research, learn and make maximum use of the functions of existing machinery at the Medical Center, while constantly improving professional knowledge and professional skills..."

Also at the Congress, Comrade Vo Van Chau shared his expectation: “The young generation of the Medical Center will always be ready, proactively seek new knowledge, and flexibly adapt to changes. In particular, it is necessary to consider the fluctuations and challenges of the health sector as well as the appropriate orientations of the Medical Center when the Vietsovpetro Joint Venture has a model transformation in the future. In addition, comrades also need to proactively research and join hands to contribute to building the knowledge management program of Vietsovpetro, thereby affirming the position and strengths of the Medical Center's youth force”. He requested the Executive Committee of the Medical Center's Youth Union. In the new term, continue to identify propaganda and education as the top priority, focusing on propaganda about Vietsovpetro Culture. Share the Vietsovpetro culture handbook widely to the Youth Union members in many forms of new technology and images instead of documents. He also mentioned the notes when transmitting documents, decisions and instructions of Vietsovpetro online or on social platforms. Implement well and strictly comply with the instructions of the General Director, propaganda work to improve the health of employees. Actively learn about AI technology, digital technology, take the lead in using and applying technology in medical examination and treatment activities, continue to promote innovation and invention; focus on accompanying union members in studying by organizing specialized and in-depth seminars on the content of the fields that union members of the Medical Center are implementing; continue to develop a team of excellent union members to join the Party among the workers.

At the end of the conference, the Congress elected 05 comrades to the Executive Committee for the 2024 - 2027 term.
